Assignment 3 distinction

You slow response times and poor video maybe caused by your computers graphics card and RAM (Random-access memory), badly organised systems files and maybe even viruses on you your computer

Graphics

A bad graphics card can slow even the fastest computers down, graphics processing can be hard on the processor which slows you computer down.

All new graphics card have their own built in processing unit which take a lot of the workload off the CPU which makes your computer run a lot smoother.

I recommend that you buy the Gigabyte GTX 550 graphics card.

It costs £93.58 from

RAM (random-access memory)

RAM Temporarily stores information for quick access like instruction on opening up a program. If there is not enough RAM installed in a computer to hold these instructions they will have to be stored on the hard drive. A hard drive has a much slow transfer rate than RAM.
The CPU (central processing unit) can access the Ram in 200 nanoseconds compared to 12,000,000 nanoseconds that it takes for the CPU to access the hard drive.

I recommend that you buy the G-Skill 8GB

It costs £41.86 from

Viruses

There could be viruses on your computer which is a program that can delete file on your computer, record all your keystrokes, intercept your e-mails, data transfers, make files unusable, spam you computer with pop ups and slow you system down by using up RAM. I recommend you to download malware bytes to scan you systems for viruses. You can download it from http://shop.malwarebytes.org/lpa/342/3/7268/index_b.html?gclid=COPlreui8K0CFQcNtAodnkGEsA

Disk Cleanup and Defragmentation

You can use Disk cleanup to remove any unused systems file and defragmentation to reorganise you system files which makes it easier for you computer to locate the system files which speeds up your computer. You can do this by going to start, all program, accessories and then you will find disk cleanup and defragmentation in systems tools
